This week’s DIY project comes to you just in time for this year’s holiday season of gift-giving! This gift bag made from Malt-O-Meal cereal bags is perfect for your sustainable gift packaging needs, and you can make it any size you need.
For this DIY project, you’ll need a Malt-O-Meal cereal bag, scissors, tape, ribbon or string for handles, a hole punch, marker, and a box about the size you want your gift bag to be.
After you’ve collected your supplies, some simple step-by-step instructions can be found HERE. These bags are the perfect size for your seasonal cookies and treats, small gifts to coworkers, or a “just because” gift to your significant other.
You can change it up by using different-colored Malt-O-Meal bags, or by decorating the outside with permanent marker that doesn’t smudge on the bag’s glossy surface.
Remember that you can easily custom-fit your gift bag by using different sized boxes as well.
