Every Monday, our global teams select the three (3) most creative posts from around the world as winners of $100 in TerraCycle® points through the #KeepOnRecycling global social media contest

Here are the week’s winners:

  1. Kew Riverside Primary School Community on Facebook – United Kingdom

This little recycler, Zoe, shows us how she organizes her TerraCycle recycling collections using plastic crates, spreading the important message that “one man’s trash is another man’s treasure”!

2.  samuelslu_model on Instagram – France

Cute video with a little twist! This mom and son duo were able to put more than 600 packages of sandwich bread and pastry bags in a single box, and approach hotels and health establishments that regularly use these items to collect even more plastics for recycling. They donate their redeemed TerraCycle points to an NGO for children with Krabbe’s Leukodystrophy.

Partial Caption Translation: So proud of this little guy who, at the height of his almost 4 years old, does not let any waste pass that can be recycled with @terracyclefr for the association @lueurdespoirpourayden. Want another secret? To collect as much of this packaging as possible, you have to approach hotels or health establishments that consume a lot of it every day!

3.  Ayuntamiento de Hellín on Instagram – Spain

Video covering how Hellín City Council recycles writing instruments – using great illustrations to tell their story! They created collection boxes, identified what can be put in it (displaying the posters), and then placed the collection boxes in the town hall, a social services building, and the local library. They also have collection boxes in a police station, women’s center, secretary’s office, and municipal building, to name a few more!

As part of their program, the city council engaged with local schools to explain the importance of collecting and recycling their writing instruments.
